A short and simple essay about myself

" Stop smiling! You are not advertising for Darlie," my friends in SMK Aminuddin Baki used to say when I was still a secondary school student. Indeed, I have a cheerful personality by nature. Shoulder length hair with two small eyes which almost form a straight line when I smile, a small nose plus a round face, together with my jovial look makes people think that I am still a secondary school student.

Yet, it is an indisputable fact that I, Lim Peggy, am now a student of the International Education Center (INTEC), situated in Seksyen 17, Shah Alam. I am now doing my A-Levels. Being a Public Service Department (PSD) scholar, I hope to secure a place in a university in United Kingdom to pursue my tertiary studies.

Born and bred in the capital of Malaysia, I enjoy living in the countryside. With that, I will be able to lead a tranquil life without tiring traffic jams and tonnes of workload. Inhaling fresh natural air while running in the field is always my dream. Besides, I like to swim, savoring every moment underwater. The feeling of being able to forget all unpleasant things while exercising makes my enthusiasm in swimming last longer.

I am the elder one in my family. I have a younger brother, Lim Winson who is in Form One. Although some may think that my house will be very peaceful and quiet with only the two of us, that is absolutely wrong. My family is always lively and full of laughter.

I am always the center of attraction of my family. Although I am not born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I appreciate everything given to me by my parents. They have worked hard, giving me comfort and love all the time. I promise to strive in everything I do to repay their kindness and let them be proud of me -- a future well-known pharmacist in our country.

12 July 2009

Happy Birthday!
I arrived at Kolej Akasia at about 8.00pm, went up to my room as usual. Then, my roommate told me to accompany her to Mydin. Not knowing what was going on, I just followed.

When I reached the ground floor, I was surprised to see a person holding a candle. "Perhaps there is no electricity in her block", I thought. As I walk nearer to her, I realized that she was my friend. Taking a closer look, I saw that she was holding a cake.

At that moment, I did not know how to react. I was surprised, touched. They remembered my birthday although we have only known each other for 2 weeks. Thank you was the only word I could say to them. It was a wonderful celebration which I will remember for life.

To all my friends who were there that night, Thank you for your kindness. I wish all of you all the best in your studies. Good luck!!!! Hope all of us will enjoy our stay in INTEC and make the 2 years here the most memorable part of our life. Thank you!

28 June 2009

It is now time for me to get packed and head towards another chapter of my life. 28 of June, 7.15 in the morning, I arrived at Kolej Cemara, together with all my things. This is the first time I am staying in a hostel, being away from my family.

We were told to fill in some forms in the morning and then I was given the room key. I did not have in mind who my roommate and housemates are going to be. Geraldine Joyce, happened to be there, alone too. We took our keys and went into our room. Everything turned out to be fine that day.

Second week in INTEC is now coming to an end. I hope to get used to the new environment soon and to start all over again. With the help of my peers, I am sure I will be able to do it. Good luck to all my friends too in pursuing their studies. I wish that all of us will enjoy our stay in INTEC before heading towards our own destinations.

About me

I am Lim Peggy from Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Cheras is quite a big city and many may ask which part of Cheras I am staying in. My house is in Taman Suria Jaya, a place where most of my friends have not heard of. Well, it is situated near Taman Len Sen, or rather further in after Leisure Mall. I have been living here since I was born.

Living in the city since young prevented me from being exposed to the nature. This is the main reason why I like to go for camps especially those which involves staying in a campsite and going for night hiking.

This is my first time blogging. Please excuse me if I made silly mistakes or wrote something which is really boring. Let me introduce myself.
